Here are the steps to set your headphone as the default device:
- Make sure your devices (wired or wireless) are correctly connected.

- Click the sound icon in the bottom right corner of your screen. You will be able to access the sound settings.
- Click on the Sound Control Panel (right of Settings) to Open
- On the control panel, select your headphone to be your default input one.
Third-party audio apps such as Zoom can cause your system preferences to be overridden by your programmed options. To avoid any interference, make sure they are turned off.
2. How To Enable/Disable Your Headset Mic
Your audio settings may have disabled your headphones from being set as the default input device for your headphones if they don’t work.

Use the Manage sound devices option

- Open Settings & click on the System section.
- Click on the section Sound. Select the Manage sound devices option from the section Input.
- Select the microphone from the section Input Devices.
- To disable or enable the device, click on the Disable/Enable button.
- To disable multiple microphones, repeat steps 3 and 4. After you have completed the above steps, Your PC will no longer access the microphones disabled.
3. Adjust the Headphones Microphone Volume on Desktop PC
